I apologise if the isn't the time or place. I'm new here and to DSLR. I have a D600. When shooting in manual mode with the shutter set on time using the ML-L3 remote the shutter will not close. The first time I push the remote button the shutter will open. The second time I push the remote button to close the shutter it will close.....and then imediately reopen. If I push it a third, forth, fifth, sixth time it will continue to close and then reopen. The only way to close it is to shut off the camera. Do I have a faulty camera, a bad remote, or am I doing something stupid?
D600 shutter will not close using the ML-L3 remote.

Check page 85 in the manual and try "remote mirror up mode". That may work.

Also see page 79/Time. Works fine on my D600.

Do a two-button reset and start again. A good maxim is: If you don't understand the setting (yet) - don't change it!

These cameras have thousands of possibilities and are easy to accidentally get loused up if one jet randomly tries to make adjustments without reading the manual carefully. All 500 pages...LOL
