Hey Everyone,
Currently I am shooting with a Pentax k110 in which I am in need for a serious upgrade. I am finally have the cash to go out and purchase a hi-eng DSLR. I am 95% sold on the D300s but people keep telling me to look at the Canon 7D. Thoughts anyone?
I have read the reviews and I’m still convinced Nikon is better than Canon when it comes hi ISO. If I was buying the camera for the video, then I would consider the 7D more serious.
With that said, assuming I go with the 300s, I am thinking of picking up the 50mm f1.4 lens. After that, maybe the 16-85mm DX because I will not have the funds for a full frame lens. Again your thoughts are appreciated.

PS. I enjoy shooting people, street photography, landscapes. I may be getting into weddings down the road.
