What do you suppose the spawn of Nikon + Canon would look like? What features?
Here is what one persons idea is:

Nikon mount?!? This was obviously created by someone dumb, like a canon user.
No, this really was created by someone who likes Canons because they got rid of the on/off around the shutter button. Just that little feature is a deal breaker for me.
I love the Nikon on/off switch, the small ridge on the front of the switch makes it far easier to not jab at the shutter!
This is just a canon camera with a red stripe and a nikon mount. but still, its an interesting discussion starter. What is good about canon cameras? what is good about nikons? what would the best of both look like?
In my case, i have difficulty using a canon as i have gotten used to the hand grip on the nikons, which is very different than the canon.
You don't need a canon with an F-MOUNT in order to mount Nikkors to it. Just search the web for all of the countless videos of 5Dmk2s and 7Ds with adapters and Nikon lenses attached.
I honestly can't think of a single feature that I would want on my Nikon's that my canons have. Mmmm direct print button maybe?
Maybe the ISO and WB buttons to be moved to right hand side of the camera. Somewhere around the program and exposure compensation buttons. I have to put the camera down in order to change those setting. I like that feature on Canon where you can change the WB and ISO with you're index finger whiles you shoot.
Although Nikon can add some extra features on the LOCK switch at the back of the multi selector joystick.
Ah yeah, at first I found having the WB, ISO and Quality buttons on the left side of the camera (higher end models) to be a little annoying, but you get used to it after a while. I cannot think of a single thing the Canon cameras have that I would want. I think some beginning photographers could benefit from something like A-DEP shooting mode, but otherwise, meh.
Here's a great lens cleaning accessory for this sort of camera:

Just a prototype, not for sale unfortunately. ;>)

Maybe not features, but the (seemingly?) larger lens selection with good price points seems desirable.

This could be handy in our Canadian winter, Minus 40, frost on lens, no problem with the new and improved lens scraper

WOW Who thought about making a cross body between Canon and Nikon and using CANON'S DIAL
I think the person did that because it was easier to photoshop this way... but damn.. why use that canon dial that breaks your fingers?
One of the reason why I shoot Nikon is because Canon body design and buttons is aweful, they can't place buttons correctly..
Agreed jbl. Obviously designed by a canut!
Ill even take a Sony or Pentax over the amazing 5DmII for that reason alone...
