The old timers around here may recall the days when you could by just about any camera accessory from Nikon. What happened to the bellows, focusing rails, film scanners? (Yeah, I know that Nikon still lists one scanner, but it's NOS.)
What's with the lack of accessories?

Epson V700 scanner is not to bad, and I just head over to Ebay, for most of my accessories for a lot less than what Nikon would have sold them for, they are maybe not as well made, but they work for me

Funny you mentioned the Epson V700 Pete. I like the V500 as well. I might need one after I crank out the Velvia, and Ilford black and white this summer from my Zion, Arches, Bryce adventure. I hope the F100 doesn't diappoint^^ I have the D700 by my side just in case. On a side note, I like ebay as well and great deals can be found just be careful who you buy from as everyone knows.

I've been jonseing for a Nikon bellows for a long time. been thinking of going used, but still can't find much. i had one on my old film camera (different brand) and miss it quite a bit. Off brand manufacturers cover a lot of stuff, like remote controls, at a reasonable price, but I haven't found a reasonable bellows. I'm guessing the demand for a film scanner is too low now to continue that product line.

Noxin, I have to revert to film and my Minolta gear when I want to go with a bellows. May have to compete with with you to find that perfect one floating around on ebay.
