I'll be flying this summer, and am going to carry my camera bag on with me. In my bag, I normally keep some cleaning supplies, just in case I get some stuck dust particles that a blower or brush won't dislodge. Has anyone taken any solutions (I use Visible Dust with the swabs) on a plane, or have you had any issues going through security? The Visible Dust website says that it is airplane safe, but I would rather trust others with experience.
Any issues flying with cleaning solution in camera bag?

wet swabs u are fine
cleaning solution between 1-3 oz's I'd toss in the clear bag with toiletries. otherwise check it in.I have a little bottle of lens cleaning solution that I tote around everywhere, never had issues, but it's only 1.5 oz's. . .(surprised I've never run out!)

I'm not sure what the quantity is in imperial units, but as long as the fluid is in a container that is less than 100ml and that in turn is contained within a clear sandwich type bag, along with all other fluids gels and pastes (in containers less than 100ml) you should be ok.

if You don't need it with You than put it in the carry on, wet swabs are ok, if You have a small container than just drop it into Your toiletries (officers are too lazy to check with it, and always You can say it's a cleaning solution for Your glasses/sunglasses)

Rather than risk losing anything from your cleaning kit, why not just put the solutions in your check in luggage rather than in your carry on? Just to be on the safe side. Especially since airline rules seem to change from week to week. I don't take any chances anymore and find it too difficult and stressful to replace things that have been taken away from me once I land in a particular country. For example, good luck finding any cleaning solutions in a country like Cambodia.

How long are you going on "vacation"? Unless you're going to be gone for months I would leave the sensor cleaning solution at home. Just give it a good cleaning before you leave. Even if your camera doesn't have an anti dust shake feature on the sensor you should be fine with just a blower.

kanuck - You would be surprised of what You can find in even the most remote areas, sometimes You only have to know of what to ask for

One thing is airline regulations, another is the customs offices that interprets the rules, his/her IQ, mood, eagerness, etc. While one may let you through, another might direct you to a friendly cavity search. I mean if speaker wires and children's play putty can cause an alarm in an airport then you might want to be safe and just check it in. I don't think that if they start suspecting something about the cleaning agent, that you can tell them to throw it away and casually go on about your business. I'm pretty sure that this will initiate a more thorough search.
You really don't need to clean stuff on the airplane, some people might get the wrong idea when you start dismantling your camera :D
If you are not checking in any luggage, then it means that you aren't going for very long, in which case get the sensor cleaned before you leave and have some lens cleaning wipes with you.
Another option is to look at what stores you have on location and just get yourself a new kit on the location.

adamz, I've had so many things taken off my carry on over the years and living in Korea where foreign imports like Gillette shaving cream or even right guard underarm is so difficult and expensive to find here I hate losing them and replacing them. Koreans don't even use underarm and if you can find it here its $12 for one! Camera gear can be found, but usually in places with a history of photography such as certain cities in Vietnam like Hanoi. Places such as Angkor Wat good luck except you can always find film. This goes for the middle east, and remote places in China with the exception of Beijing, Shanghai and of course Hong Kong. When I was in Vladivostok Russia I couldn't even find AA batteries which were taken by the airline from my camera case!
Trust me save yourself the pain and check everything in. Don't bother putting in your carry on. Rather than running around a city looking for replaced items you could just be out shooting instead.
