OK, I was initially confused when I first read 7/12/12 because I thought it meant July 12th, 2012. Then I went to CNN news and saw the story. Those poor people must need nerve pills every day. I wish them the best.

Yes, fortunately the damage was limited this time. Its amazing a massive 7+ earthquake anywhere else in the world would be devastating. Terrible time of year for such disasters to occur as well. Hopefully this recent occurance will reduce the stress on the Kamchatka Peninsula plates and the Pacific Ring of Fire for some time.
