Just curious, how many Nikon 1 owners here are getting the 18.5mm prime?

Looks like a nice 50mm equivalent, but I still think Nikon is too slow in announcing lenses for the 1 series.

At $186, that's not so bad... but as a current DX owner with a 35mm 1.8, I'm not really that interested in it.

I'm a *new* Nikon 1 owner... I decided the V2 adding a hand grip and mode dial was enough for me to actually be able to use it without a massive fuss so I jumped on it as a Christmas present to myself.

That being said, I'm probably going to pass on this lens. I can DX the 35mm f/1.8 as well. I'm really interested in that announced 32mm f/1.2 though.

I think the 10-30 VR kit lens serves most of what I wanted that camera for... a general walkaround camera good for fun events / street photography. The 18.5mm f/1.8 could help for low light but being locked at 50mm in indoor situations seems like it wouldn't be wide enough for me so I don't really see where I'd end up using it.

I'm likely going to pick up the 32mm f/1.2 when it comes out (I do a lot of portraits so the equivalent field of view is perfect for that), the FT-1 so I can do stupid things with my telephoto lenses, and the SB-N5 rather than the new SB-N7 flash because I like the ability to swivel horizontally even if it's at the cost of flash power.
