Do you guys subscribe any photography magazine?

Hello, Guys

I was standing in front of photography magazine shelf in our our news&magazine store this afternoon. I was amazed how many different photography magazine available to choose from however I was and am really confused which one should I have?

So here is the question or query for you guys: which photography magazine do you subscribe? I am look for a magazine that focus on photography tips or technical stuffs. I am not care that much about gear review or recommendation.

So if you know some good one, please list below.

PS. It is better not to have a lot of ads inside the magazine.

almost all of the british photography related magazines (practical photography, digital photography, etc) are quite good - lot's of tips, as for ads - well... I haven't seen magazine w/o ads

I mean not MANY ads not without any ads.

I don't think that changes anything, hahah. Magazines make most of their money off adds. The amount of adds also doesn't negatively effect the amount of non-ad content in the magazine just fyi, and in fact a magazine with more adds is more likely to have more non-add content as well, because they can afford to.
So you might want to rethink your position.

As far as what magazines, I can't help you :P
I just read grab whatever our photo department gets sent.

I still get Pop Photo and Shutterbug out of habit for casual reading. Wouldn't really recommend them for actually learning much of anything. Not many magazines have impressed me for their learned content.

National Geographic: just enjoy seeing quality pictures and to try to figure out how they were taken

Popular Photography: Sometimes have great ideas and tips

Internet: Special on Flickr

Playboy: for how to use strobes and learn to photoshop, ;~) just kidding

I like Photoshop User from NAPP - but as far as 'Photo' mags go I just do see the point anymore with all the stuff I can view on the iPhone, flicker, Nikon Rumors, etc.

I agree with you and that is really the reason I donot know which paper magazine to buy.

I will be on a long trip next week. So just want to have something to read on plane.

Hmm ok that makes sense but to be honest I haven't come across any magazines that would entertain me for several hours on a long flight. At the most I spend 10 to 15 minutes flipping through and reading the articles.
