OK so the latest new FX primes are priced at: all taken from B H Photo

    50 F1.4G - $ 430.00
    24 F1.4G - $ 2200.00

So where should the future 35mm FX lens be priced at?

    Anyway Canon is this way:

    24 F1.4 - $ 1700.00
    35 F1.4 - $ 1400.00
    50 F1.4 - $ 370.00

So Nikon is app 25% higher on the 24 and 50mm lenses, this would leave the new Nikon 35mm FX lens at app: $ 1750

Wow I might have to wait with that one,

    Pete

    I'm guessing a 35mm F1.4 will cost about the as the 24mm F1.4G.

I think I'd rather get a 24-70 2.8 and use that at 35. I would rarely want more than f/2.8 (and never need it), especially if I was shooting FX.

I would pay $0 for it because I don't shoot FX.

You can buy a new 35mm 1.4 AI-S for about the same price as a new 85mm 1.4. I would hope that the new 35mm would be priced similarly, but it will likely have the nanocrystal coating and ED glass like the 24mm, so I guess $1500. Personally, I would rather see an 85mm update first, but its been a long time coming for the 35 1.4

I would only pay 1,300 for it. It makes me sad that all the 1.4 primes will be more expensive then that. My next lens purchase will most likely be the 85 1.4. while 24mm will be my next focal length id like to cover but not at that price :/

I think sadly it will most likely be between $1700 - 2200 and it would not surprise if will be priced at the same $2200 like the new 24mm F1.4
