    I guess he wanted a dedicated full frame HD video camera with a better lens mount and didn't want that stupid mirror in the way.

    So who's brave enough to do this with their D90 or D3S?

    Interesting idea, but kind of impractical with modern DSLRs, because liveview AF is too slow, unless all you shoot is video.

    I don't think this one has any AF functions anymore

    The phase detect AF sensors don't work anymore, but he can still take photos with contrast detect.

    Yes but the new lens mount would kill that feature also, unless it can be removed and the Canon mount is intact below

    All he would have to do is solider the CPU contacts in the right place and it would work just fine.

    Seems like a waste of time seriously. The body is still big and bulky.

    please enlighten me as what advantages he has now?

    I guess it's more quite now, but so what, the camera body is so huge that people will still notice you taking the picture with that cinderblock up to your face.
