Apparently the Yogurt company legally bought a stock image for their yogurt packaging. My question would be whether the photographer got a signed model release before submitting it to the stock agency.
Apparently the photographer might have just taken this photo over 10 years ago while he was a "tourist". So this is yet another example of why you "street photographers" need to be careful with what you do with your photos :^)
Any self respecting street photographer would never sell their images for commercial purposes or put them in a stock agency.
Don't worry poster we don't know for sure all the details of this case. Perhaps it was just a "soccer mom" and not a "real" photographer ;^)
Come on! You two know you'd sell a photo of a Greek "street performer" for $15USD if you had one :^)

lol I bet I would waste more time signing up/becoming a member of a stock agency than the $15 would be worth it. But I guess if somebody doesn't value their time, they will upload anything.
Not that I've sold anything to these stock photo companies, but I'd think that a model release form of some sort would be needed for any type of portrait.

And I have been trying to sell this picture of you, it's not really street it's more like front porch, shotgun, beer in your hand kind of picture, cute really but no takers, not even a beer add ;~)
