Go for not much used second hand now, or go for D60 ...

I waited for it to be cheaper and the price just went up. I got a deal from cameta auctions on ebay.

Well. I recomend you to get used camera for less money now. I wouldnt wait. You'll miss all the summer at least. If you'll wait for prices to fall, then you can wait a little bit longer for next model of D90 . And then when next model comes you can wait a little bit more for next and next and next.
If you know what do you want, then go for it.

Not anytime soon. It just came out, and it might increase in prices. Actually, I might get the D90 when it gets kind of old, because I heard they're phasing out lens motors? Is that true?

I have to agree that it's not going to be for some time.
On the focusing motor issue, low end bodies will certainly continue to not have the motor, but it will be a long time before they leave the high end.

Pixelke,
I was waiting for the same thing to happen,as I thought prices would drop after Christmas, instead they have gone up by $120.00 at B&H, the dealer that I drop most of my bucks with.I finally got tired of waiting and picked one up at J&R......about the best buy around in the US at the present. Although I'm keeping my D60....I have to admit the difference between the two is like night and day.If I don't have any problems with it,I think that I can be quite happy for a very long time!!.Posted 4 years ago # -

I purchased my D90 body as a "factory demo" for $789.95. Demos are camera that Nikon factory sales people use to demo to Nikon dealers. Mine had zero shutter actuations and for all pracicual purposes, was new.
It comes with a 3 month factory warranty, however, if you buy from Cameta Camera, they warranty it for 1 year. Cameta is a top notch camera store. I've purchased many items from them with not a hint of a problem. Here is the link
http://www.cameta.com/Nikon-D90-Digital-SLR-Camera-Body-Factory-Demo-40354.cfmI purchased my D200 new, my d40 factory demo and now the d90 a demo. The only problem I've had with either is with the D200. Go figure.
