Guys thank You alll for Your kind words, it's a tragedy for us and sth we wasn't prepared for - I'll call it polish 9/11 as I think that the emotional level is quite the same.
Pete - sure I'll send some pictures from Warsaw - will go there today or the latest tomorrow (came back to waw only yesterday night)
Poster - thank You for sharing, I'm very touched by Your pictures

Stan, awesome photograph! Having an apartment building behind the goose brings some irony in "wildlife".

Thanks. I like the 3D effect. When photographing these guys you pretty much take what they hand you. I was walking along Kempenfelt Bay in Barrie, Ontario and I heard these two Canada Geese honking. I turned around and they were streaking low across the water, so I started firing away and panned this particular one rising and crossing in front of that condo building.

Fun perspective, Adam. I don't know why but that eagle makes me chuckle, Rob.

Maybe it's because it's resting on one leg. Bigger birds seem to do that a lot for some reason.

What if his other talon is on the lower branch behind the visible talon?
Hey Adam, I thought your photo was a wooden hand rail! Like from some stairs. I was thinking, "wow! that's some interesting wood". Until I made out the eyes and figured it was a bird. Then it just freaked me out! :^)

It's not, if you look closely it is tucked in. I have other photos, which could prove that, but I've only uploaded the best ones.

seriously, I like the eagle image, we see them daily where I live, I love watching them.Posted 3 years ago # -

Here is the photo without the editing, I only removed colour from the scan as the scanner added a greenish tint to it: http://foto.aardwerk.ee/photo/_DSC8989.jpg
Thinking of the shot with the moon, I think it was in one Australian panorama photo book that I once saw.
In regards to film, I use Kodak TriX 400 which I develop and enlarge myself. We have 5 different old enlargers of Eastern European origin (Leningrad, Krokus ...), equipment for both 35mm and medium format film developing and enlarging, one enlarger is with a dialled colour head and others can be used with filters. Nothing much to it. For the time being we get the ready-mixed chemicals from our teacher.
One more BW shot: The Wall
