God points poster! We should take advantage of the technology as much as we can. Today's equipment have made things so much easy for us to a point that we are becoming lazy.
I feel like we have lost the touch of having fun and enjoying taking pictures.
Now a days all we do is complain about our cameras. Back on the day it wasn't a problem how many mpx had you're camera but how good and arty was the picture.
Photographers where working hours in their dark rooms to get the desired pictures that made the style of the photographer but now a days we just through a plug in effect over a picture that was only taken point & shoot style and call our selves photographers.
Sorry guys but to me, those people are called picture taker and nothing more. I am not against people that make money out of their photographs but at least study the craft a bit so you can defend it if somebody asks you about it.
I guarantee you that most of digital photographers today don't know the ratio between ISO, Shutter speed and F stop they just dial it to auto and take the picture. Later on do the magic with that famous plug-in effex to fix the picture.
Few years back I was directing a tv commercial for a major supper market store and one of my friend who was a professional photographer was taking pictures with his Nikon D100.
The owner of the store asked my friend how many pixels had his camera and when he found out that it only had 6mpx he refused him to take further pictures because his P&S had few more pixels which to him it didn't look professional.
What I am trying to say is that now a days it is very easy to become a photographer because the technology has made every thing easy for us. All they do is Google it up which is the best camera and go buy it and they are all of the sudden photographers.
They haven't got a clue about composition, aesthetics and theme not to mention the history of art and all that theory that goes with it to complete you as an artist .
