How am I going to take a picture in the total dark if I don't have a D3S yet?

A world record attempt was made for the longest distance travelled by a 1/24 scale slot-car. All along the many kilometer track were photographers down on one knee, some lying in the dirt, all clicking away at the action. ...very exciting although I expect not as exciting as tomorrow night.

That is no excuse. This is one of the first photos I took with my D90, just trying to learn to operate it. This was taken about 2 AM, but had a full moon. I did not write the info down on the shooting data. No lens data shows in the EXIF info, so it must have been an old AI lens. I suspect this was my quite old Micro-Nikkor F4 105mm. ASA was 3200, exposure 10 sec.
