Half-a-horse
(the clipped ear bothers me also, as the horse belongs to my inlaws, I'll try to amend that later)

@monty - Actually, the clipped ear doesn't bother me in the slightest.

@heartyfisher - if you're posting from flickr or something similar, make sure the link ends in .jpg. Flickr links tend to have something like .jpg?v=1241313359, if you delete everything after .jpg it should work, otherwise it won't display.

@heartyfisher - Have you tried resetting your browser, clearing the cookies and cache? Or trying to post the image from a different browser, ie, if you are using Firefox, try with Internet Explorer, or visa versa.
I doubt that it is the forum that is playing tricks on you, unless admin has accidentally pressed the big red button! If I recall the construction of this type of site, mainly processed away from the computer, with only the text and the images what you are trying to add being processed and sent from your browser.
This image below is not from this month, but I am posting it to see if I get the same results as heartyfisher is getting with the images.

Taken with a 35mm f/1.8 coupled with a 12mm Kenko extension ring.
Posted 4 years ago # -
monty - love Your picture, try convert it to B&W using Nik Software SilverEfx - to boost contrast and apply red filter; btw: what's the light fall out of using extension tube? was always wandering how much light it needs to work without problems
Posted 4 years ago # -
I tested it with the 35mm (i don't know if the lens matters or not) in a room with a constant light level.
No extension f/7.1
12mm extension f/6.3
24mm extension f/6.3
36mm extension f/5.6
I guess it is safe to say that each of them takes off an additional 1/3 f-stop.Posted 4 years ago # -
No you lose light by 1/3 f-stop with each additional 12mm.
The changed picture looks much better :) I guess I still have a lot to learn in editing :)

I'm getting old :), as yesterday I had problems with understanding Your last post monty. Indeed it looks like each 24mm gets 1/3 f-stop, which I think is quite good - was expecting more, anyway TY monty for info
