Hardware store like Lowes or Home Depot.
What exactly is the purpose of black plexiglass?
not for use like an nd filter right? Is it something related to a studio set up? reflecting light a certain way?
thanks, just curious.
I use it as a base to set up objects to photograph. Black gives that reflective like look especially when wet. Depending on how big the object is I also sometimes use blackish grayish reflective metallic poster board sheets. They sell them at hobby stores
ahhhh, that makes sense. Hah I couldn't for the life of me figure out what exactly it'd be for.
good to know, thanks.
I surprised the Mac store doesn't sell plexiglass with the volume of products shot on it(before Pshoppers got wise and learned how to fake it)
Niko,
Home Depot and Lowes only sell the clear plexi. I know I can always paint one side of it, but was looking for a already black sheet. Found a sheet 2X4' online at a backdrop supply store.
I've bought black plexi at Home Depot before. I guess it depends on location or maybe they stopped carrying it. You can also spray paint one side of a clear panel gloss black. When dry just flip it around and shoot objects on top of the "clear" side.
