SquamishPhoto: lovely bokeh and amazingly close for a 100mm on a D800. What is the deal, couldn't that bird fly for some reason? Or are you a "bird whisperer?"

He puts glue on all the branches. It's stuck there. Melts after an hour and he fly's away. Great shot. Really like it.

Another landscape of the desert southwest, ranch lands that make one wonder how cattle survive.....

First Snow; the same statue that appeared in the last picture, just isolated by "going tele"

Been wanting to do a forced perspective like this for a while. It just so happened that I finally had a box of cereal and spare lights in the house tonight.

Between wife's love for agility and dog training, my passion for photography and both our love in general for animals, we're considering starting a small pet photo business. So I've started working a small initial portfolio, thus I'll be posting some shots here, hoping for a lot of critique and advice.
Thanks in advance.D600 | N 24-70 f/2.8

Amazing pictures here already this month. AdamZ, I really liked your adjustments to the light canyon. I loved the original picture and was amazed that it could be improved.
I don't shoot portraits, so this is as close as I get. A candid shot after the race.

A hunting Northern Harrier at Las Gallinas Waste Treatment Ponds, Marin County, California 2012
I have mixed feelings about this image. I wish it were a bit sharper but the perspective is unusual perspective since I was above the flying bird. I had a hunch that if I set up on my monopod, stay still, it might ignore me and stay on its flight path that would bring it close.
This was shot after sunset while I was out looking for short eared owls.
