@el_Pickerel: as B&W goes, this is a really strong one, but the very similar one you showed a month ago was even better, as it was "interrupted" by the concentric circles...

Nice christmas shots everyone.
Spray, this is a good one!Wasn't sure about the framing. Maybe I should have cropped the guy on the left side out. Anyway, was happy to catch this one in the midth of all the pushing.

One of the things to do at La Tijuca National Park is to go hang gliding at Pedra Bonita and land near the beach. If you look at the high resolution image on Flickr, you can actually see a hang glider resting at its landing location (hint, near the beach close to the right side of the image).

I always loved the tones in this one. I was sad to find a dirty sensor when I got home from this trip, highlighted by the relatively long exposure and stopped down aperture.

Yetibuddha. I want to go there. Not very many people on the beach. Nice.
Proudgeek love those pastel colors too.

Nice one, proudgeek. Why not just take care of the spots in post? Seems too good of an image to leave unfinished.

A big round of applause for everybody here. I've been away for a business trip for some days and now I'm seeing pages of super shots.
Meanwhile another dog photography shot (older this time, taken with the D80):

I had a conversation with sprayandpray about noise and PP. I decided to shoot at ISO 1600 +.7EC. I was curious to know what my PAD friends thinks about this one. The noise doesn't seem too bad. The higher ISO also gives me a faster shutter speed and seems to give me sharper results...

@Juergen - I like the composition a lot, if You will crop out the guy on the left it will be too flat for me, the way it is now, You can feel the atmosphere in the crowd
@mike - the bokeh is killing me... I'm so jealous right now :)

The last of my Brazil snapshots. A while back Adam posted an elegant image of the Christ the Redeemer statue in Rio. When I visited a couple of weeks ago, I could not resist a snapshot of these two icons juxtaposed:

@ Yeti, is the distortion of the statue due to the lens?
Or is Jesus tilting his head?Posted 5 months ago # -
Regulator, maybe with a Bob Marley flag there Jesus is nodding is recognition of being tolerant, on the other hand it could simply be that the head is too close to the edge of the frame--20 mm has some distortion, and photoshop did not automatically remove all of it.
