I feel the same way, adamz. She's beautiful but when they have all that plastic work done to them it takes away from their natural beauty. Be like taking that Lamborghini and putting truck mirrors on it with thinner tires.

I was thinking we can nominate Photo of the month and have members vote for them what do you think? At the end of each month we can send our nominations to one of the Mods and then have members vote.
Or maybe just restrict to senior members and mods to nominate .. cant have oneAnt muddying the waters there.. :-) So at the end of each month we have a list of photos and votes in some kine of graph. The nominated photos can come from the flickr groups as well of course.Posted 3 years ago # -

We tend to have the same photo-a-day contributors every month and it really wouldn't be fair to always choose a "winner" from the same "small" group every time.
If it makes you feel better though, I think you're all winners for contributing! :^)

I dunno.. I think some statistical feedback would be welcome. I am sure there will be some pleasant surprises ! Nominations adds some subjective fun too. restrict it to just the mods to nominate and some more active senior members if you need to spread the load a bit..

Out of about 2200 registered forum members there are only about 30 members contributing to this month's photoaday thread. I'd say about 20 of those members are from the same group that contributed to last month as well.
So to pick a winner from such a small group wouldn't be "fair". What happens if the same person keeps winning every month? Like I said we discussed this before and admin said no. He wants the forum to grow a bit more. It also kinda didn't help when he was testing the waters and had a "forum only" giveaway and only about 10 of you signed up for it. We need a lot more members before we can do "dpreview like" photo contest with different categories every month.
