I finally got around to taking some photos of Bald Eagles around UBC with my Bigma, now that the sun is out (we'll see how long that lasts).

    Great composition, chance.
Almost every shot you take makes me want to get one of those tokina 11-16 lenses, regulator. I just know I'd get one and find out I still take crappy landscape and architecture shots and then I'd have nothing to console myself with.

    Keep the eagles coming, shade.

    Great shots, everyone!

My wife and I have moved into a new house and I've been trying to create some old world feeling photos for decorating purposes. Let me know what you think. I am trying to make them look as authentic as possible, so be honest!

I'd boost the contrast, Phil, and maybe not add quite as much softness.
Here's a website with some work of one of the best ever. I sometimes wonder what he could have done with a modern DSLR.

I like the texture and the color Phil. However I'd sharpen back up the eyes a bit and as jonny suggested add more contrast to her face.

I see the quality of pictures have improved since I was last here. I have my suspicions that Jonny's wife takes his and he takes the credit here. They are clearly much too good to be his.

    The flickr idea ...brilliant.

I'll need to change my stage name here on NR to my flickr name oneANT, so say bye to exit and hello to me.

    Oh and a pic ...

You're on to me, oneANT. This is why I'll never agree to a photo walk with anyone here.
"So Jon are you actually going to take any pictures?"
[with the camera hanging upside down from my neck] "Well, I focus on quality instead of quantity. If I don't see The Shot I don't open the shutter."
    "Suit yourself."
[whispering on the phone to my wife] "Now which button takes a picture again?"

Hey smarterchild, I like your photos but this thread is meant for one photo per day. If you want to showcase more than one photo feel free to post in the flickr pool. Just say'n
