Just picked up a new Nikon 1 V2 and wish I had not bothered.
In low light there is unbearable red dots all over the screen and banding bars, the colour is awful on the screen. I have compared this to my existing V1 and there is no problem there all looks clear and crisp.
The box contained no charger adapter to allow charging in the UK just a UK mains lead which cant connect to anything. What is Nikon up to?
welcome to the forum mjlworld. have You bought Your camera from Nikon UK official distributor or have You bought it from independent importer?
As Adam has suggested, this may not be a camera directly from a Nikon distributor. Here is what comes in the box with the body. If all was not in the box, then the box has been pilfered.

Your V2 is definitely not normal. The V2 viewing experience should be exactly like the V1 as the screen and the EVF are the same. Return it the person or shop you bought it from immediately.
Anyone seen a V2 in stores in the United States yet?
