I will start from myself. So far, I have spent about $530 for my D40 + kit lens + filter.
I will upgrade soon this year. I am thinking about getting a micro lens 105VR.
so now its your turn.

I just spent $160 on an FM2 with a 20mm f/2.8 Arsat, 35mm f/2 and 105mm f/2.8 Nikkor lenses, an old flash, and a bunch of filters. Initially I was only going to get the 105 and the 20mm but my friend didn't want to start selling them one-by-one, so I got it all :)
That is also my first film camera now that I'm more seriously into photography. A lot of playing awaits me :D
Up to yet, about 22,000€, though about 8,000€ of that has been on computer hardware/software, for the digital 'darkroom'.
I would say about 12,000€ of that has been on physical photography hardware, and the rest is taken up with insurance and repairs.
This year, the figure is likely to go up quite a bit, as I am upgrading my main field camera, and don't know whether to go for the D700 or a D3 (both have their advantages and disadvantages to how I work), also some better lighting, and a full frame wide angle is on the list; and also my 'field' laptop is in dire need of replacement too.
woww 12000 euro is a fantastic number. LOL. i am impressed.
to be honest - too much as for something that doesn't pay for my bills, annually it's around $2-3 not including digital darkroom
I don't think I want to add up what I've spent. In the last year, I've added a D300, SB600, 18-200VR, 105VR, MC-36 remote, assorted filters, circular polarizer, LowePro Sling bag, NC-29, umbrella, flash clamp, Capture NX2, and assorted other stuff.
That's like trying to figure out what you spend on beer in a month... you don't want to know even if its accurate.
Willis - I at least want to drink several of those beers before I try adding it all up !!
About $700 for the D40 with 18-135, UV filter, and the soft Nikon case which I regret isn't too useful, but looks very good.
Well, let's see. I can get away with a:
D60 + 18-55 VR ($639.99)
200mm Ai micro-nikkor.($300.00)
55-200 VR ($I forget at the moment)
SB-600 ($ 219.99)
and some other assorted filters, etc.
Now, if you want to know what I USE (for work), and not what I've bought...
Canon EOS 40D
EF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6L IS USM
EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS USM
EF 17-40mm f/4L USM
... I still like nikon better!
