Any of you have any experience with this product (or another one like it).

Is seems like its kind of a poor man's tilt & shift. The skeptic in me thinks "Gimmick", but I'd be interested to know your opinions. Its being advertised pretty heavily on all the pages I go to lately.

I have a Lensbaby Composer and I quite like it. I'm still getting used to it but I do like the results that I'm getting. I think most pictures would make your head spin if you look at them too long (most that I've taken at least) but it is fun to play around with.

Our monty11 here has just shown you how it’s done with Lensbabys. It will be hard to do it any better than this, great shot. But after a few shots it all becomes an obvious cliché. Not something you would be able to sell much, cute toy though.

All the pros I've seen have at least one lensbaby in their bags, just for fun.

Lensbabies are a fun niche, but I don't use my lensbaby 3G as much as I would like. The D300 makes the lens far more easy to use than my D50 did when I first got the lens.

I bought a LensBaby (the older models, not the current) and returned them. Every time I got something I liked aesthetically, the LensBaby popped out of position. I tried the newer model (the Composer?) at a trade show, but couldn't seem to get much with it either. Maybe it just takes more practice and I have seen others do great work with it. But what I'd really like is to see them come out with a model that meters and has a real aperture ring, instead of using that silly little disk inserts to control aperture.

I think the Composer is brilliant. A tradeshow isn't really a place to try it. Browse around for pictures if you like them, get one and try to do the same. There are also LB tutorials around.

I just hope that they won't come out with an AF-S, zoom, do it all for you Lensbaby :D
