    I'm actually thinking about getting the older version because of my "new" gauge for their pricing. . .I wouldn't be too terribly surprised if the new AF-S version of the 85 1.4 comes out at $1599 or 1699 - wayy too much for me!

    At the same time, the 50 1.4 AF-S update was priced closed to the original. . .with marginal improvements.

    Tough call, as the 85 1.4 isn't that bad currently, and one can get them used for $900. . .

    Shiva- You can pick them up NEW on ebay for 800. I dont know how to trust that when its 1100 at BHphoto. But ive seen alot of them for 800.

    i take that previous post back. I cant find any for that price. But a few weeks ago i could of sworn that i saw them in the 800's

    Yeah, I can't think of a better bang for buck ratio for $200. I'm still loving the fact that I love that lens so much. And that it's so hard to find for other photographers. :D
