Adding pictures to our own Photo-A-Day has been painful, so we (myself and the mods) created a flickr pool to host our PAD submission. You can already see the slideshow on top of this page.

The URL for the Nikon Rumors Forum flickr pool is: http://www.flickr.com/groups/nikonrumorsforum/

Starting March 1st we will still keep one of the old PAD threads on the forum for users who do not have flickr accounts.

    That's it. Start uploading!

If you want your images to show up in the slideshow, you have to make sure they are "sharable" .

For now will have one pool for all the different categories. We may change this later on.

Just a quick question, does that flicker thing have to be at the top of the page?

I'd prefer it below, as well.

The location on top is just temporary - to make sure everyone sees until I find a new home for it :)

Here's another thread with some flickr suggestions. It was suggested that we should have more than one slideshow, but I think that would busy up the forum.

If it means longer page loads, I'd rather not have more than one. Most of the time it's not an issue for me, but when I'm on my ipod across the apartment from my router it seems like lately the forum takes a long time to load. (that might be from something unrelated to the flickr widget, but it coincidentally started happening at the same time). EDIT: This is the redundancy police. We're going to have to take your friend Jonny in for that last statement.

I haven't noticed a slow down in forum load up times.

Seems fine Firefox for Windows, but load times have really slowed down on Firefox when using Mac OSX since the flickr stuff was added. That is not admins fault, you can blame Adobe Flash for that.

I forgot to update about the load times. Rob's post reminded me that on the ipod it couldn't be the flickr addition because the ipod just ignores anything in flash. It turns out it was my wireless router dying a slow, bizarre, and painful death. It's been replaced and all is right with the world.
