    Hey, everybody. My friend recently bought an AF 85mm f/1.4 and is very unimpressed with its quality. He says it's not sharp at all, even at f/9! I was under the impression that the AF 85mm f/1.4 was one of Nikkor's best lenses. Anybody else have issues with it?

    I'll see if he can send me a couple. I'm pretty sure he bought it used, though he says there doesn't seem to be anything wrong with it. He's even using it on a D3.

    If you get pics from him make sure they have the exif data intact. It'll help to analyze and see if maybe he has a camera setting wrong or something.
