    Either way losing the mirror in a DSLR will reduce it's size considerably.

    But your wideangle lenses are going to be nonexistant with a 3x crop. And why do you want insane crop anyway? What's in it for you? Reach? I'd rather them work on ISO quality.

    My walk around lens for non-serious shooting is the super lightweight 28-80 G lens for my D700. It weighs even less than a 50mm prime! Takes great shots on the fly. I think people will all be able to afford to go fullframe because the D700 price will drop like crazy this year once the D3X or D3S (maybe both at once or together) censors are put into a smaller sized body. DX bodies are great though for the crop factor I think especially for telephoto work so its nice to have dx at least for a backup body.
