Yes, Yes I know what all you COOLPIX haters are saying but it's still a Nikon and not everybody who comes here wants info on a DSLR.

I wasn't expecting anything stellar though, which was expected. They need a larger sensor compact. I'd be willing to settle with a 3x zoom with a wide angle, something like a Panasonic LX3.
By the way, that camera is on sale at J and R for $369.

When buying a Coolpix, most independent specialty dealers will offer a free leather case & Nikon 3 year extended service contract - at the same price as "camera only" from internet dealers. Give it a try! The new Coolpixes should be arriving soon!

The prices of point & shoots are coming down a great deal. You can find some really amazing cameras with descent image quality and features for very low prices such as $250USD. For someone only posting to facebook or flickr, why would they pass that up and spend $1000USD on a DSLR and lenses when they will only use as a point & shoot anyway?
