Of course they won't but I had to tie this story into a Nikon forum somehow :^)

Polaroid is being forced to sell off a big chunk of it's archives. Photos from Ansel Adams, Andy Warhol, Chuck Close, and others are going up for auction.

This is the most ridiculous introduction I've seen. I was about to come write "Of course they won't," but you did it for me. ;-)
I think it's a little sad to see the film companies struggle so much, but I'm glad for digital.

All of you digital guys are film haters and all of you film guys are still Polaroid haters! Poor little Polaroid, how I miss you so. At least Ansel Adams and Niko Doby recognize how wonderful you truly were :^)

It's actually quite amazing how this once large and omnipresent camera company has faded into oblivion. Let it be a warning to Nikon.

I love polaroid. I just bought my fujifilm Instax 210 instant camera. and i love it. The film is cheap compared to polaroid.

I dont understand how these film companies are hurting so much. I will always enjoy film till they wont make it any more. Some times i wish i would have a Film body with a 50mm f2 instead of my digital set. You acutally think about the photo and youll always get the surprise in the darkroom. Ive never felt that way with digital.

I absolutely love my Polaroid land camera. I can use Fuji film with it but I enjoy the crazy unpredictability of using expired Polaroid film. I'm currently shooting with a film pack that I bought brand new in 1996 and expired in 2001 :^)

I agree with you smarterchild. Digital is just too perfect.

I found my 2001 film packs in some long forgotten storage bins. The colors are off a bit and a few have developed nothing but most are just fine. I feel guilty even using them. It's the last film of it's kind!!! I plan to keep a few to store with my Kodachrome :^(

YAY!!! Polaroid B&W film is back! The impossible project just announced it's FINALLY going into production. While you guys "debate" back and forth about whether 1080p video belongs in future Nikons, I'll be happy shooting new instant film again! :^)
