He was testing the Canon the wrong way, he should have used it in Video mode that is really what Canon designed it to do. Picture mode is just an add on to complement the video mode

You know eventually that's what's going to happen. Just shoot video the whole time and then go back and grab a still image.
It is kind of sad, but that's the way it seems to be going. There will have to be a lot of improvements to in video AF systems if that does come to pass.
Well if this is what's going to happen Nikon is setting itself up very nicely to be completely screwed with its sub par video capabilities.
Lets not get ahead of ourselves just yet, this is still Nikon's first generation video products.
Uh, this thread is suppose to be about how awesome the auto focus is on the D3S and not about how "crappy" the movie mode is.
lol, I'm sure the D3s has wonderful auto focus, but unless I win the lottery, I don't think I'll ever use one.
Not true PB PM when the D5 comes out the D3S should be priced around a D90
