I don't know why I care so much...right now I couldn't afford a plastic Toys'R Us camera...but I have the fever, no small thanks to you people on this forum :D. Anyhow the first week of February came and went, and although there were a couple of new lenses, there were no bodies. I shoot a lot of available light stuff, and I figured if there was a D700 replacement, the D700 price would go down. Then again, I'm on the message boards for both APA and ASMP, and the new hot topics are about adding some video capabilities for your clients. The D3s is waaay out of the question, but a D700 replacement with video capabilities could work(if my wife would only go out and get a second job). So, when is the next possible time for an announcement? Thanks.

Yeah that's it. Next chance is March or April (maybe) but more likely early summer (June).

So should I go ahead and buy a lens cap now, or just put the money toward a Rolls Royce Drophead?

Go with the toys r us camera. They're surprisingly durable!

Hmmm, I wouldn't buy either warprints. I think you should just get a D90 with a 35mm f1.8 lens instead.

    Just teasing you jonny! :^)

Your teasing bounces right off me, Niko. I know I've recommended other things at least 5% of the time. Maybe we should get alpha to make up a graph of what people recommend on this forum most often. The D90 would be up there, I think, and I know I'm not hurting its figures. That is, until I tried out the toys r us camera. I've found a new level of value.
Where is that alpha boy these days, anyway? I kind of miss chuckling at the chatter between you guys.

Alpha's probably grounded for night photography.

I'm always willing to recommend the D90. I think my copy is particularly good. I check on it before bed at night... I better not get a D3s, I could become even more obsessive.
