I'm not surprised - it's a huge market, and You'll be surprised how many different tech known companies are in it , i.e. LG

i saw this linked to the X100 thread and couldn't resist clicking it.
I read the post and then remembered that, yes they do make drugs here. I have seen vitamin suppliments with the fujifilm logo on the bottle, and I thought it was pretty crazy.

The only strange thing is that Fuji started out as a camera, film, and print shop. LG started out as a chemical company, not a tech company.
Korean companies that are associated with tech nowadays outside Korea are NOT tech companies. Samsung is and was a grocery company, now famous for TV's, cameras, and refrigerators around the world. LG, a tech company. Hyundai a construction company.

And "Nikon" use to be an optics and imaging company.... Oh yeah they still are :^)
Well except for Nikon wine they still only make imaging products.

Yes, they hold their stodge quite well. My wife is a biologist and her microscopes by far and large, are Nikon or Leica. She always wondered because sometimes she sees Olympus, but never Canon. She asks all the time: "what are Canon?"
But we live in South Korea where these poser companies' true shadows darken everything. Samsung, bloody hell, are everywhere. Cars, apples, apartments, government. Same with Hyundai, but not as much.
