He had cancer, but it happened so suddenly. We still have his brother Mai, but he also has some problems too. He was almost 14, so he had a fairly long life. He gave us many happy times. Thanks for your kind remarks.

Sorry about your cat, Hal. I love cats, too. I think when they got domesticated they were bred for insanity; it makes them interesting pets.

Great photos, all. Rob, I'm a sucker for raccoons—the little beggars. Astro, great technique. Was that tripod-mounted or are you a bodybuilder like Gentoo? 1/200s at 300mm I assume you had it on at least a monopod.
