When I used to do sideline photogrpahy for football, I occasionally got nailed when I was taking upfield photos (tracking a receiver) when the play was actually ending up on top of me, or seemingly going through me. Never actually injured that I recall.
Anyone have good stories about sports photography mishaps?
Was shooting baseball at a college event, took a foul ball right off the ribs... Hurt like a SOB, but nothing broken... Got rolled a few times at football games, but nothing like having a a basketball player crash down on you on the baseline... Get some funny shots like that es when you are shooting the action and a guys knee comes into frame!

Yeow. It didn't look like he was kicked that hard, but if the hit is just right ... and Rodman is such an @#*hole, saying that it's not all that big a deal, after all "I could have punched him".
