My vote goes a reduction of words like "prick" or similar words in this forum.. and its not to do with being under 18+. but I am happy if the forum disagrees.. I really dont mind it much. Its abit like using words like "grace" and "salvation" if this forum is open minded enough to use the word "prick" and ... WTD :-) you have my blessings... ;-)

guys, let's concentrate on photography - topic has been cleared to follow the male vs female discussion, will delete this in 24h

as for M vs F, I think that girls take a much better human pictures, I mean everything that is related to people photography. look for example at apriles's pictures in the PAD thread, shit... I would never be so sensitive to capture images like hers. As for other kinds of photos, well I think we man have a better approach. Imagine W photographer carrying d3s+600/4 through the bush to take a tiger snap, very unlikely (with one exception - maybe there are few more:), Hannie girl from holland, check her flickr account to see some extraordinary snaps) or a girl war photographer.

Sorry about that. I didn't realize I was straying from the subject . . . I was merely using anecdotal evidence to support my thesis.

Adamz wasn't referring to you TJ. Sorry if it seemed that why :^)

I agree adamz, this is kind of what I as well as several others were referring to earlier. We each have our won niches both in gender and on the individual level.adamz said:

I have many female contacts on flickr who regularly produce amazing work.
Even my wife has such a different eye than mine, it's always interesting after a vacation or a day shooting when we go through the pics together. You can really see a difference.

Haha... I could type for days on this subject... but I won't.
Lets just say that that even when she had absolutely no clue what she was doing, my girlfriends pictures were still better than mine. She's a natural at getting people to smile.
She even managed to get this picture of me that she took published in the paper once... an amazing achievement if you've ever seen me in person:

Although Men are definitely the tech junkies, I've met women from Canonland aaandd... Yes Canonites I find more than often argue over equipment and show off more than they shoot, whereas a good amount of Nikkonians, Minolta-Sony junkies, and Olympians I know actually just shoot regardless of gender. Why women can be better people photographers than men often lies in #1 the misconception that many see a man with camera and think Perv, suspicious, paparazzi, why is he making money off this, impersonal, creepy etc... Whereas women aren't often associated with these tags even though a fair share do it. Also biologically women in general can read human emotion better which helps when there is a big scary D3 in your mitts... As for work, no gender makes better work seeing as every artist is different, there are many women's work who I admire and enjoy.

I totally agree with you kyoshinikon. The Olympians I know, male or female, are always talk about photo techniques. Except when they are reminding me that Olympus "invented" LiveView and put swivel LCD's on DSLRs long before anyone else.

I think that Canon have a higher % female users compared to Nikon
Pete

I think that's true too bmxdad. I don't know any female Nikon users personally.

Agreed

Will male photographers have problems with money as female photographers do?
*Annie Liebovitz*
Sorry, couldn't resist taking a jab at her.

You're just jealous NSX because even with all her financial troubles, that "girl" still makes more money off her crappy photos than your best. ;^)
