So what are you hoping Nikon brings us on the 2/3rd?

    D700 replacement?
    EVIL COOLPIX?
    D90 replacement?
    Affordable FX?

I really hope Nikon doesn't do another "S" model! It would start to look as though they've got nothing new coming along for a few more years! They need to keep pace with all of the NEW cameras coming. I'm worried that the Nikon announcement is happening before canons. In the past, the weaker announcement always goes first. In 2007 the D3/D300 were announced after canon. Last year the 7D was announced after the D300S, etc.

My only hope that things will be different this time is that the Winter Olympics mess up the available slots for announcements. Or Nikon might hold off and make a full frame announcement in March or April :^(

Unfortunately it seams that both our hopes will be in vain … Pxxxx or D700s it is … cheers

Yeah I have a feeling Sony and canon might be hogging up the spot light at PMA 2010 :^(

An affordable FX would get me going. And if an EVIL camera were small and reasonably priced. I'd consider it for my wife - then borrow it.

At this point, I think my wife would see right through that scheme.

Nikon might have a big year this year at the PMA I think because they disappointed last year. It seems a little early though for anything large to happen on the 2nd or 3rd of next month.

I need a Speedlight and would love them to release the SB-700/whatever it's going to be called. The SB-900 is a monster on its own and especially on a D40/D40X/D60/D3000 body as my DSLR.

Yeah, I wouldn't mind an SB-700 as well. None of the other things particularly interest me, except maybe, maybe the affordable FX, but even that I'm not so sure about...

SB-700, yes that would be very nice, I could use some cheap slaves to go with my SB-800.

I also think we will see a DSLR, most likely D700s.

I think if an SB700 finally did come out you guys would start a wish list for the SB1000 or is that SB500?

Ha, maybe they would, but not me. I've had enough of stripped down flashes.

    That's only because you bought a SB400. :D

I agree though, a SB900 would look absolutely ridiculous on the D40.

How many times do I have to write about how much I hate my SB-400!? It's a terrible, terrible flash. It's not much better than any popup flash. I truly wish I had gotten an SB-600 at the time, so much better! Wireless capabilities, full bounce reach, high-speed sync, you name it. I even prefer using my dad's Canon flash rather than my SB-400!

Haha, I'm just hoping that when the SB-700 comes out the SB-600 speedlights get a price drop, then I'll grab one or two.

I'd like the 100-500/4-5.6 VR. For those who can't afford the 200-400/4.

I'd also be happy with a new 300/4 VR, particularly if they provided for a bit higher repro ratio - even just to 1:3.

In some ways I am hoping for an updated 80-400VR or a replacement aka, 100-500mm VR before there is a 300mm AF-S VR. I find the 300mm AF-S to be a very sharp lens, but as much I like it, I run into its greatest limitation, fixed focal length, far to often. Right now my upgrade path would be the 200-400mm F4 VR or a 70-200mm F2.8 VR with the new x2 TC.

Did Ken Rockwell really convince you so much to buy that? Hahaha....

Ohh noes you prefer even using the dreadful Canon flash. Seriously I am getting tired of hearing this Canon sucks, and I would rather eat my own fist than use anything Canon.

I think if this there ONLY announcement before PMA, it'll be a biggie:

    Primes (24/35/85)
    Zooms (16-40/150-500 VR)
    Bodies (D700 and D90 replacement)
    POS P&S. . .
