They are still using Nikon cameras! :^)
Joe McNally shows up as a guest but "Father" Bob Krist didn't bring the new D900/a950, lol.

About time too!
I've been watching their shows, mostly for entertainment and to look at the big lenses :^) I don't think I've ever actually learned something, but listening to other photographers is always interesting.
Scott Kelby seems to hate it when Matt Kloskowski is talking!
Kelby always looks like he wants to pimp slap Kloskowski :^)
I have to admit I'm very disappointed in the "new" show. They spent months building THAT set? WTF? I hope future shows have more useful info than commercials. It seems like they just threw this episode together in Kelby's garage! I kept waiting for Kelby's wife to pull up in the family car and start honking at them to move their sh...stuff out of the way and help her bring in the groceries.
Yeah, the show does not seem as professionally made. I suspect the big difference is that Nikon sponsored the 1st season, while this season is fare game.

Your commentary is better than the actual show, Niko. Maybe you should guest star. Or maybe you have already... Joe? Is that you?
Ha Ha jonny. You know if I were to guest star on the show their ratings would go through the roof! lol :^)

- Hi I'm Scott Kelby.
- And I'm Matt Kloskowski and you're watching DTownTV. In this week's episode
we've got some really great tips to share with you.
- That's right Matt. Today are guest is the infamous NikoDoby from
Nikonrumors.com/forums. He's going to show us how to properly
insert and remove various memory cards from your digital camera.
- Wow that sounds exciting Scott. I can't wait to see that!
*
-So, what are you shooting these days, Niko? You probably keep on the cutting edge, don't you?
-Well, you know, Scott, that's a common misconception about members of our famous forum. Just because we're interested in what's coming up from Nikon doesn't mean we all use that equipment.
-So you're saying you don't own a D3s?
-It's one of those 's' cameras; a D70s.
-[silence]
[Niko reaches under the table and pulls out a can of beer, taps the top twice with his fingers and opens it. The releasing pressure sprays beer all over Scott Kelby's Macbook Pro.}
Matt: So, uh, tell us about your technique Niko.
Niko: Oh it's real simple I just take this here SDHC card which by the way stands for Super Dimensional Hyper Compact [Niko smiles at the camera] and then you put it in this slot on the side of the camera here, like this.
Matt: Um, Niko thats the HDMI port.
Niko: Say Kelby how's your wife doing? Does she ever ask about me?
[wipes tears from eyes after laughing]
LOL! Who is going to record this and put it on youtube? Niko, we can mask your face :) I think we will get a larger audience than KelbyTV.

LMAO!!!
Man, that is hilarious!
And remember guys, the show is free. Scott Kelby could be charging for it, but he isn't, so enjoy it anyway!
Hahahahahahahaha!
Niko, you are simply hilarious! 8^D
I learned a good bit from the show- using neutral density filters, and reversing the flash backwards.
My friend and I were joking, wtf were we supposed to reverse the flash for...? He has a SB-600 on his D50.
By the way, is the plastic sliding thing on the top of a SB-600 a decent diffuser? Is it even supposed to be a diffuser? When I borrowed his camera a couple years back that's what I used it for.
nope its not a good diffuser... but it does provide good fill in flash properties when bounsing the flash off the ceiling or wall.... I think his idea of pointing the flash backwards with the diffuser dome does not make sense. might as well just use the flapy thing.. and point it straight up.. you get more light on the subject that way...

LOL, no, that gives the flash a wider-coverage!
Auto Power Zoom Coverage
Provides a wide zoom range covering 24 to 85mm expands to 14mm with built-in wide-flash adapter.

I don't know, maybe the reversing thing works with the SB-900 because it's huge and the diffuser dome is massive?

Haha, he also didn't hand over the manual, and actually that was the first time I handled a DSLR.
So I was like cool! Opaque plastic! Must be some sort of softening thingy! I'll use it!

I agree. Although I occasionally point my flash backward, it's because I'm using it to trigger the optical slave circuit on studio flashes and I don't want my on-camera flash in the catchlight.
you can set the cls to not register the master's light at all...

Sorry, I wasn't clear. These are 3rd party strobes not compatible with CLS. They fire on any flash, so I just set my SB-600 to manual and low power.
I've wondered at events when I have them on if I'm ruining everyone's point and shoot shots because even their flash will fire the strobes. Then I think, who cares? Muahahahah
Glad you guys got a good laugh :^) Admin and I have decided to make our own NrumorsTV show. We are just waiting for Nikon to announce an 1080p DSLR so we can start production :^) Instead of having pros as guest we will have different forum members come in every week to complain about Nikon not doing something right. They will "debate" other forum members who think Nikon is perfect.
Think of it as a Jerry Springer like show centered around photography :^)
Awesome! Count me in! :^D
