he British Journal of Photography is reporting that photojournalist Dennis Stock has died.
Born in New York City in 1928, the photographer was particularly known for his portraits of James Dean, commissioned by Life magazine and taken shortly before the actor’s death in 1955. The photographer is also remembered for his coverage of the Venice Beach Rock Festival.
