I still think this is a pretty impressive example of what can be done with silicon, even if it is not the most interesting or engaging shot.
Nikon glass might have made it more impressive.
What would this look like through Nikon glass?

That's a pretty cool project. What can I say? WIth Nikon glass we wouldn't be looking at workers and clocks up close, we'd be looking at ants and flys on the buildings. FCOL !!

I agree, should have used a Nikon D3X and found a more interesting view

And he used a canon! Gimmee a D3x and a camera robot we are going to do this in realtime!!! To answer the question above, yes the nikkor 400mm would have smoked this... Good idea though
