I've notice a number of products are out of stock at major dealers or hard to find. Is is just after Christmas inventory reduction or a supply chain thing?

    Here's a few I've seen.

    16 mm fisheye
    24-85 f2.8-4
    24 f2.8
    135 f2
    200 f4 micro
    300 f4
    35 f1.8 DX

And the SB600 is out at a lot of places.
    Thought I'd mention it.

Yeah, it happens quite a lot. 35mm 1.8 seems to be built in batches, and the issue is compounded (for J and R at least) because they order in batches.

That's where I ordered mine, I had to wait about 4-5 months for mine.

Edit- I remember now- order in batches- possibly because there's only so many built so that they can order...?

Nikon is a "small" company and demand is often higher than supply. If anything some of those lenses will probably fade away and others, like the 135mm and 24mm, will be updated/replaced soon, maybe... perhaps.
