Not really a poll, but someone in another thread mentioned they were tired of seeing so many cameras set on auto or Programmed Auto so I was wondering where in PSAM you all spend most of your time.

I'm in Aperture priority most of my time, followed by manual, and shutter priority. I'm practically never in Programmed Auto, but I know a number of people who prefer P.

Bonus: Do you use Auto ISO? I don't excepting odd occasion. I usually will just pump up the ISO manually when I need a faster shutter speed.

I generally leave my camera on Programmed Auto when just carrying around, but I usually shoot Aperture Priority. I don't use Auto ISO.

I almost always shoot in A mode. My normal type of photography pretty much requires it. I've never used P mode although I can remember a time when it probably would have been better to do so.

I don't use auto ISO. I used to but found it too psychotic.

I find myself in "A" most of the time. I feel like its the easiest to understand.

I never use "P"... I just don't get it.

If I'm shooting manual w/ flash, I typically jump into "S" and set my maximum flash sync speed. By noting the aperture I have a good place to start in "M" mode. I copy the settings into manual and adjust the aperture until I get the right mix of ambient and flash.

Mostly A, Occasionally M.

Lately I've been trying Auto ISO + M for wildlife shots.

Mostly A, some M special with remote flash, S for showing motion in sports, rarely P and newer auto ISO

Thanks for the fun poll, but when you post the results can you use Equal axises next time please? I find the X axis being inconsistent between questions is unintuitive, to be polite.

I'll see what I can do, I just grabbed quick screenshots of the graphs google provided. When we get a good number of results I'll put it together in one good graph.

About 79% A, 20% M and 1% S. I don't think I have ever used P. Don't see any point in it.

With my D300 only having only PASM, I find my self usually using one of those 4 ;)

But I usually end up using P and A, with some occasional M. I really like to use the auto bracketing in A mode when shooting landscapes.

That's pretty much what I shoot like while at work. Same with flash I almost never use i-ttl or it's equivalent. Manual all the way. Unless I have a crappy day and ttl will give good enough results.

When I do street I am mostly in Aperture priority.

Pretty much never use auto iso.

Hmmm.. I am the exception here then :-) I am in P mode and AutoISO most of the time! Although I do keep an eye on the settings and if they are not to my liking I just turn the dial to get more shutter speed or larger aperture. or turn off auto ISO. But Most of teh time I am auto everything except I like to manually focus !! LOL. I know... I am wierd.. my fav lens is a 150mm prime.

I use A 85% of the time, M 25% of the time. I do use auto ISO when I am shooting wildlife and birds because the light can change very quickly, when I am working with moving subjects, so I don't always have time to change ISO.

I used to be mainly A guy (for the DOF) but now I'm addicted to S for urban street photography, mostly because I like clean people cutouts (I shoot 1/1000 during the day if sunny, 1/250-1/500 if cloudy), not blurred (unless I aimed that).
So for me 60% S, 30% A (used to be 100%), 10% M (for stitchable pano shots, for timelapses, for long exposures in general).
this poll is funny because I'm curious about P mode now...
AutoISO 90% on my D300 but with a max of 800ISO. I'm not fond of the noise at 1600 and 3200 ISO.
I only use manual WB (set with liveview aid) and ISO when I shoot interiors or nightscenes with very complex lighting.
Otherwise Auto WB.
Never used a flash, too obvious for street photo. (I 'm not into tedious studio lighting setups, remote controls, light reflectors, etc.)
