Here is one of my son and new daughter at their wedding. The use of the videographers lighting is helpful. And the "official" lead photographer is in the photo. Post processing balances the color of the lights on the couple while allowing the background to be set in camera by the auto white balance. The green laser lights are an interesting effect...

    Fiordland Wilderness

    D5100, 18-200mm @ 18mm, f/16.0 for 1/50, ISO 100.

This is another one from my helicopter flight over the beautiful wilderness of Fiordland, New Zealand. The pointy peak to the right is Mount Elliot (1990m) and the Arthur River is below me, the famous Milford Track hike passes through the valley below. Once described as "the finest walk in the world" it's a 4 day/3 night hike, if you're into getting skinned alive by sandflies.

Another view near the end of Great Bay Boulevard, Tuckerton, NJ. I can't recall a time I've had smoother reflections. You can see how the corners of the old VR 70-200 get squishy, but I am usually not demanding corner-to-corner sharpness of this lens.

Full size is so worth it.

First Calgary Show Suite Lightbox Trio

My skyline panorama is featured in the First Calgary Condo show suite, located down in the East Village and will have 18 floors.

I went down there a couple days ago to see my panorama printed and displayed. The photo was mounted on a 12 X 9 foot lightbox.

Needless to say, they were very happy (as was I) with the end results.

Nice Pickerel. Wonder what that place looks like today. This is a Sally Lightfoot crab. Incredibly beautiful but really skittish. Took me a long time to find one willing to get close enough. An older shot; I need to get out from behind my desk a little.

This fellow was kind enough to tolerate us for a time as he chewed his cud in his bed...but when he began to "wind" it was time to go.
