Algebra will not help here, and I really do not know any numerical method that could say that one camera is 300 times better then the other.
Anyway it sounds like it will be 2 times better is some aspects then D300s and that is good enough result in my book.

At least that's what Thom Hogan Says. From his post today:
"New Nikon goodies are coming. Some time in the first two weeks of February we'll have lots to talk about. Lots."

I saw this just before I came over here. Is the site slow today for anyone else? I think the traffic is up with talk of a D900.
I'm just really hoping the D900 is either ten times better than the D90 or 300 times better than the D3. I'll buy one even if it's three times better than the D300. But if it's only a third as good as the D3000 I think I'll pass.

Yeah, when I first came onto [NR] most of your posts were done a year in the future. Plus, a post I just made in the EOS NIKKOR thread got moved back 5 hours!
