Great shots, aprille. The butterfly one is especially impressive. Sometimes I can't believe these are all self-portraits. Do you just carry a tripod around with you everywhere you go?

No...they are pretty much all 365 photos. I brainstorm, find an idea, then go out and shoot it. The butterfly I was able to do because my brother had just caught it earlier in the day and had it in a terrarium.

I think Apille wins for the best photo ever posted on NR. I love the composition and how you have the text in the middle and on the bottom right. I know I don't have anything like this! LMAO!

I see your photo just fine Aprille.

So do I.
Gentoo, I think Aprille has blocked you from her photo stream to protect the identity of her Turkey! ;^)

I love my neighborhood, it's full of hipster wackos. Always brightens my day to see one of them.

ChrisLange. I have really been enjoying your postings here. You have a great gift to capture the moment with all of your work. Do you use film only? Thanks PBrigido!
I am a film user through and through, digital doesn't do black and white nearly as well as silver does :)

I've been playing around with the 16:9 aspect ratio with some of my 35mm pictures since the two are closely related, and it involves less cropping than is necessary for an 8x10 print. I don't usually crop my pictures, ever, but I'm trying it out a little these days.

poster, city life.

Jonny: american gothic, eh?You got it. Your photos are great as always and, like I've said before, although your reasons for using film make sense to me I'd never personally switch.
I like the aspect ratio there in that second shot. I wonder why it's not more common in photography since it's closer to the golden ratio (1.618) than the other standard ratios.Posted 3 years ago #
