For anyone looking for a less expensive Nikon AF-S VR 200-400mm f/4G (not VRII), Robert White (in UK) have some on clearance sale for £4,200, which is £600 cheaper than elsewhere in the UK.

Incidentally, this lens is about the same price as the VRII version from B & H in the USA (USD $6700). Although in the UK the VRII is over USD $8300. So it does represent a savings in the UK....

Yeah, everything in the UK is damned expensive compared to the rest of the world, even in a clearance sales :-(
