Hi guys! NEWBIE HERE! I have been taking pictures for quiet some time with my kit lens and am ready to upgrade. I take mostly portraits and am so lost on what to get for the perfect portrait lens. I did purchase the Nikon Normal AF Nikkor 50mm f/1.8D Autofocus Lens. I have sent it back already. It produced wonderful images but with light and time being an issue when I schedule appointments, this was not the lens for me. I would like to stay under $500.
