Is there currently a 28mm lens available for Nikon DX cameras that is affordable? Something along the lines of the 35mm 1.8 and 50mm 1.8? I have been looking online and am not finding anything. Am I missing something?

Nikon 28mm F/2.8 AF is more than usable on DX as well as on FX and is only around 250$.

The AF 24 and Ai-S 28 are much better than the AF 28, but they're all good lenses.

the 24mm 2.8 has been an awesome addition to my D200. . .you can find them used in the mid-200 range, which is a steal! or new for $360. . .

The Sigma 20mm, 24mm, 28mm F/1.8 lenses would be a good consideration. They range from $350 to $520.

Is the Sigma 24mm f/1.8 really all that? There's one for sale here (used BMXDad! ;) ) asking $350 and that would fill the biggest hole in my FX prime lineup.

    EDIT:
Though if I were a good boy I'd sell the 14, not buy this, and be well on my way to the 14-24.

yeah the 14-24mm is WAYY to heavy for a day of shooting, or let's say tourist photography . . .I had rented it way back in 2008 for my trip to France, and though it was a gem to use, wayyy to heavy. . .

I relish the 11-16 Tokina for that reason alone (at f/3.2 it's about as sharp as the Nikkor wide open). . .and decided to snap at 24mm 2.8 for a full-frame/film body as that should be wide enough :-)
