what's that, never heard of "boxing day" - in Poland 26th is a holiday too :) - no work; in states - they start sales (great time to do Your shopping :), but "boxing day"???? - must be sth canadian :D
Yes it is mostly a Canadian Thing for a crazy deal day at most stores here in Canada
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Boxing_Day
The same deals are on in the States they just don't call it Boxing day
Pete
BTW I would also prefer to have the day of, but I am starting at 11 am, so most of the crazy deals should be done
Do you get overtime at least?
I'm going later today and I'm gonna buy the exact same mouse that I already own... why?
Because the one I own is about to die and the deal on it is hard to ignore. It's 35$ instead of the usual 99-135$ (price varies from store to store) and the one I own is currently dying... I expect it to last maximum 5-6 months so once it's over I'll have the new one.
I'm also thinking of a laptop but I won't buy one today... I'm waiting for apple to add the i7 cores in their mbp. Anyway boxing day deals on apple stuff doesn't mean much. The best deals are usually on home theaters, dvd players (now blu-rays) and such...
I'm about to head out and pickup the 35mm F/1.8, it's $20.00 cheaper today than it has been since it came out.
wow are you serious? I always thought we got the name "boxing day" from the States! haha go figure it must be a Canadian thing. Some of my New Zealand and Aussie friends use the term also though. Living in South Korea, nobody has any clue what the hell I'm talking about of course^^
Say'd what?
Boxing day is typically the Canadian version of "Black Friday" in the states.
And I think that we will also have a Canadian Black Friday sale next year
