Merry Xmas to all,
I bought the a Nikon 70-300 VR and I am having fun with it, but ...
But, I am somewhat disappointed at the "short" reach I get compared with my 18-105 than came with my D90.
So, I am looking, once again at the Sigma lens.
A few questions for you:
What are the differences between the Sigma 150-500 mm f5-6.3 DG OS HSM and the Sigma 50-500 mm F4-6.3 EX DG HSM?
I understand that the first is "OS" while the second is not. I kind of think that with such long reach lenses, you do need optical stability (like the VR in Nikon's lens)...
However, the second has EX, which I believe labels higher end Sigma lenses. Any thoughts on this?
I understand that these lenses are heavier than the Nikon 70-300 VR, but hey, I can live with that!
Any further thoughts?
Tks
Max
PS: Someone said (was it here?) that Nikon is coming out with 150-500 VR III lens!!! How real is this? If so, when would it be? Spring time? At what price range???
